How do I know if I have termites?

You May Have Termites and Not Even Know It

That’s because termites thrive in the inaccessible areas of your home – eating it from the inside out. By the time you’ve realized you have an infestation, they may have already done extensive damage

Signs You May have a Termite Infestation

  • Discarded wings of swarming termites may be found in window sills, in and around light fixtures, in the attic, or in similar places where swarmers can exit a colony.
  • Frass on a window sill or mud tubes could be a sign of a termite infestation.
  • Little piles of pellets, called frass, can also be found in these areas.
  • Mud tubes around baseboards or exiting out of walls and ceilings.
  • Damaged wood that is severely blistered or sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Pin-sized holes in walls and woodwork where termites “kick out” frass.
  • Live, swarming (flying) termites in your home.
